Our Story

I moved to Portland, Maine from Burlington, Vermont in the Winter of 2021. Inspired by the natural landscape and eager to create, a friend and I started by selling handmade wreaths at a local holiday market—and we sold out. And so, Wintertide was born.

Today, Wintertide Floral has grown into a full-service floral design studio, offering garden-inspired florals rooted in story, season, and space. Our designs honor movement, feeling, and grounded luxury—bringing botanical beauty to every moment.

My love for design began early—for as long as I can remember, I have found joy in creating spaces and experiences that invite beauty, nourishment, and wonder. I truly believe that great design resonates beyond the visual — it evokes a feeling.

I found flowers during a time of personal transition, making the leap from retail work for a textile and apparel designer to pursuing my MBA. The summer before grad school, I traded my burgeoning business skills for lessons in planting, growing, and flower arranging while working on small flower farm in Vermont. I loved it so much that I deferred school for a year to immerse myself fully.

A few years later, working in corporate America, I returned to flowers when I’d found that the constellation of my life felt far too distant from who I knew myself to be. I opened a small floral studio in my hometown of Essex Junction, Vermont, where I offered wedding styling and floral design for New England couples, weekly arrangements for local businesses, and curated styled shoots for brands and photographers.

I’ve been working with flowers for over ten years now, and have had the good fortune to train with some of the most talented people in the industry. Moreover, flowers have been a throughline in my journey, offering me a way to weave beauty, connection, and story into the lives of others. My personal style is rooted in luxurious texture, eclecticism, timeless detail inspired by nature, and a touch of intentional wildness, and I love bringing this to my designs. Whether it’s through experiential planning, styling, or florals, my goal is always the same: to create work that feels personal, intentional, and alive with meaning.

I cannot wait to hear what you’ve dreamed up and collaborate with you to bring your vision to life.
